The Model Railway Institute focuses on advancing the state of the art of Model Railroading with advances in bench-work, battery operation and much more. The Museum is in S scale and will replicate New England in the first two weeks of October, 1927 in accuracy, appearance and operation when complete. When you visit, about 90% of the 3500 square foot space has benchwork with some portions sceniced. About 25% is from a donated catenary layout that was shipped from Seattle, Washington and is now incorporated into the master plan. This layout will soon be published in Model Railroader magazine, but definitely is a work in progress. As a bonus, a beautiful Proto64 layout that was recently donated is expected to be complete and operational by convention time.
Free will donations are accepted and appreciated!
